Location Description

The hotel is located across from the Denver Federal Center, a dynamic commercial and retail district in the West Denver metro area. The hotel has easy access to all parts of the metro area via 6th Avenue, a heavily traveled east/west corridor connecting downtown Denver to I 70 and the foothill communities, as well as the famous Red Rocks amphitheatre.
The Federal Center and St. Anthony hospital are the dominant economic drivers in the neighborhood. The Federal Center is a 623 acre campus, and contains 4 million square feet of office, lab and warehouse space. There are 6,200 employees, and is the largest single grouping of federal facilities outside Washington DC. The Federal Center faces uncertainty due to current Federal cost cutting measures, however, at least 3 million square feet, including the U.S. National Science Foundation Ice Core Facility, are deemed "Core" by the current administration, and will be retained. Parts of the Federal Center are already planned for major redevelopment. The Denver Federal Center TOD is a phased Transit Oriented Development of 51 acres surrounding the Federal Center Light Rail Station.
